"No other country on earth is better positioned to thrive in a XXI century. No other country is better equipped to meet traditional threats from countries like Russia, North Korea and Iran, and to deal with the rise of new powers like China," ex-US State Secretary Clinton said.
Democrats in the United States first need to "create a dragon" before trying to defeat it, Russian Foreign Ministry's head of the Press and Information Department Maria Zakharova said on Facebook.
"That means that to defeat the dragon, the Democrats first need to create it, what they have successfully done in recent years."
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry's spokeswoman, the US aimed to find a substitute for Tehran that cannot already be considered a convenient candidate for the role of a 'global evil' due to the progress in talks on the Islamic Republic's nuclear program. "It's rather strange to try to reconcile in full sail with the one [Iran] whom you want to defeat."
North Korea cannot be considered a "superpower that could afford to do almost anything." Thus, the Democratic hopeful in upcoming US presidential election chose another "super-target."
"Meet new 'enemies of American people' — 'traditionally threatening' Russia and 'rising' China," she continued.
According to Zakharova, Hillary Clinton is simply using 50-year-old PR technology.
On April 12, Clinton announced she was running for president in 2016 and launched her presidential campaign.
