The story of how Natalia Veselnitskaya, the Russian lawyer who met with Donald Trump, Jr. last June, got into the United States, who she was working for and why she was here gets weirder – and more suspicious – by the day.

Veselnetskaya claimed on her visa application, that was initially denied by the Obama administration, that she needed to enter the United States to advise a client that was the target of a money laundering investigation.

However, she ended-up meeting with Donald Trump Jr. and various other Trump campaign officials and it is not clear what service she rendered to her client, Preveron Holdings, beyond organizing a lobbying campaign to repeal the Magnitsky Act, a congressional sanction passed as retaliation for the arrest and death of Sergei Magnitsky, a Russian lawyer who uncovered a $230 million fraud.

The Magnitsky Act bars 18 Russians from entering the United States because of Magnistky’s death. Putin retaliated by freezing American adoptions of Russian children and barred 18 Americans from entering Russia.

Now here are some dots to connect.

Veselnetskaya received permission to enter the United States several times during the Obama years. During her various entries, she met with Senator John McCain – a major Trump antagonist during the Republican primary and general election campaigns.

Among the individuals and organizations she hired in her attempt to repeal the Magnitsky Act were former Rep. Ron Dellums and Glenn Simpson, the founder of the political opposition firm Fusion GPS, and Potomac Square Group, a group tied to former Presidential candidate Howard Dean, California Governor Jerry Brown and various unsavory dictatorships and authoritarian states.

Dellums, a Far Left socialist, served as Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee during the 1980s. He was an avowed sympathizer of Fidel Castro’s Communist dictatorship and was demonstrated to have leaked classified information to the Communists in Grenada in advance of the successful U.S. invasion that overthrew the island’s budding Communist regime.

As our friend Richard Pollock of the Daily Caller pointed out, according to a complaint filed to the Department of Justice Foreign Agents Registration Act division last July, Dellums failed to register as a foreign agent representing a Russian-driven effort led by Veselnitskaya to repeal the Magnitsky Act.

Prevezon was owned by Denis Katsyv who, along with Veselnitskaya, created the Human Rights Accountability Global Initiative Foundation in the U.S. The foundation was designed to repeal the Magnitsky Act using a lobbying team that included Dellums reports Pollock.

Christopher Cooper, the founder and CEO of Potomac Square Group, also joined Veselnitskaya. His company does campaign work for foreign principles and foreign governments including the governments of Azerbaijan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, UAE, and Nigeria as well as Russia. The company’s clients have included Democratic California Gov. Jerry Brown and Democratic presidential hopeful Vermont Gov. Howard Dean.

Potomac Square also partnered with Dean’s campaign manager, Joe Trippi, on behalf of the families of radical Islamic terrorists held at Guantanamo Bay.

Pollock also reminds us that Fusion GPS financed the phony "dossier" on Trump filled with salacious but false charges that was compiled by Christopher Steele, a former British spy.

This "dossier” was shopped all over DC and was turned down, even by the Trump-hating establishment media, until it landed in the hands of who?

Senator John McCain.

As we pointed out in our article, "The Deep State Tries To Destroy Donald Trump” after having been shopped to and rejected by the media the "dirty dossier,” prepared, not by a disinterested intelligence agency or researcher, but by a commercial firm hired by Trump’s opponents, found its way to Senator John McCain.

McCain, a Trump nemesis since the Republican primary season, is the military-industrial complex’s primary spokesman on Capitol Hill, and is also one of the loudest voices for a foreign policy of global interventionism by the United States.

The Deep State is especially concentrated in the security apparatus of the federal government, and McCain, claiming to do "what any good citizen would do” turned the amateurish smear of Trump over to the FBI, one of the central agencies of the Deep State.

At this point in our narrative it is important to recognize that the Deep State is now largely the territory of the Left, Obama saw to that by purging what remained of the Reagan anti-communists and those in the intelligence and military services who viewed Islamism and Sharia-supremacy as the new threat to constitutional liberty.

(See our friends Stephen Coughlin’s Catastrophic Failure and Phillip Haney’s See Something Say Nothing for book length examinations of how this was accomplished.)

Keep in mind the document McCain received was not something prepared in Russia and spirited out of the Kremlin, it is not a micro dot or other document obtained through the spycraft of James Bond or George Smiley, it was a copy, of a copy, of a copy, of something that the staff of the Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee should have been able to spot as amateurish and wanting of fact on first reading.

No sooner had McCain sent the file to the FBI than the story of the existence of the file began to leak and the "news” became not the amateurish nature and dearth of facts in the report, but the fact that it was being discussed and vetted at the "highest levels” of the United States intelligence apparatus.

And it was leaked to CNN and Buzzfeed, two media organizations deeply hostile to Donald Trump and his populist agenda and deeply embedded in the Deep State.

But this campaign to link Trump and Putin didn’t start after the election; it started a year ago when, as Professor Stephen Cohen put it, Hillary Clinton and the Democrats decided to run against Trump and Putin, instead of Trump and Pence.

Which was about the same time Natalia Veselnetskaya, who is connected to all of the same parties that got the phony "dirty dossier” into the news, found her way into Trump headquarters with a spurious offer of opposition research on Hillary Clinton.

Perhaps this is all coincidence, and seeing the Deep State at work here is a paranoid fantasy, or perhaps the same group of dictator-friendly Deep State Democrats who got the the phony dossier on then-candidate Donald Trump into the news were trying to pull Donald Jr. into their orbit and they have chosen this moment to leak it to keep the phony Russian collusion story alive.
