MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Moscow negatively considered the US bill on sanctions against Russia, Iran and North Korea, the text of which was issued on Saturday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Sputnik.
"Extremely negatively," Peskov said when asked how Kremlin assessed the draft bill.
Earlier in the day, the US congress released the text of the bill approved by both chambers of the Congress, targeting Russia, Iran and North Korea. In particular, the bill views Russia's Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project as a threat to energy security of Ukraine and the European Union and suggests providing US allies with financial aid to counter alleged Russian influence and possible cyberattacks by Russian hackers.
The bill will be put to a vote in the House of Representatives on Tuesday.
