Lavrov, Tillerson to Meet at OSCE Ministerial in Vienna

A senior State Department official has announced a date of the meeting between US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov are scheduled to meet on the sidelines of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Ministerial in Vienna on December 7, a senior State Department official told reporters on Friday.

"The Lavrov meeting is taking place in Vienna on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial… it is tentatively scheduled for the [December] 7th," the official said.

Earlier, the two ministers had a phone talk, during which they discussed a number of issues including Syria, North Korea and a seizure of Russian diplomatic property.
