Putin and Trump may meet in November

Putin and Trump may meet in NovemberA senior advisor in the Trump administration said at a press meeting on Friday, October 19 that US President Donald Trump and Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin may hold bilateral meetings in Paris or in Buenos Aires in November.

"There are a couple possibilities, including the G-20 in Buenos Aires or the Armistice Day parade in Paris. At the G-20 is probably more likely,” the advisor said. "And President Trump’s invitation to Putin to visit Washington, DC still stands.” France is celebrating the Centennial Anniversary of Armistice Day on November 11. The G20 Summit will be held in Argentina from November 30 to December 1.

Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov spoke earlier on the "Bolshaya Igra” ("Big Game”) TV show on Channel One Russia, confirming that Putin and Trump may yet meet soon but that none of the practical considerations for such a meeting have been discussed.

"There are several international meetings ahead where Putin and Trump will participate together. Whether it will be memorial events related to the First World War Paris in November or whether it will be the G20 in Argentina or other events, the two presidents will be there at the same time,” said a Kremlin spokesman. However, "the question of holding a separate bilateral meeting hasn’t been raised by anyone, by either Moscow nor Washington and so no preparations are underway.”

"But let's wait for what Trump’s [US National Security Assistant President John] Bolton brings, what he will say to Putin,” added Peskov.

Bolton arrives in Moscow on Saturday, October 20 for high-level talks with Russian officials that may include the US’s possible withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, as well as discussions on North Korea, Ukraine
