Moscow does not expect concessions from US President Donald Trump and is not ready for them itself, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Peskov added that Russian President Vladimir Putin has never talked about any concessions.

"No one is waiting for concessions to Moscow on the part of President Trump, and Moscow is not waiting for concessions from Trump either. President [Vladimir] Putin has not talked about any concessions and has never raised the issue like that," Peskov said.

Putin and Trump met for the first time during the G20 summit in Germany's Hamburh on June 7. Putin said that he discussed at the first meeting with Trump the situation in Ukraineand Syria, the fight against terrorism and cybersecurity.

Instead of a scheduled one hour, the meeting ended after about 2 hours 20 minutes. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson were also present at the talks.
