Relations between Moscow and Washington following the re-election of Barack Obama as US President for the second term in office will undergo no major change, says the first deputy speaker of the Russian Parliament’s upper house, the Federation Council, Alexander Torshin.
The official says he is certain that Russia and the United States will remain strategic partners. According to the Russian MP, the outcome of the US election was predictable. That was the struggle of two ideologies, rather than two candidates, Torshin told reporters. He was an independent monitor during the US election in Tennessee.
