The first round of intergovernmental Russian-US consultations on Russia’s joining the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, OECD, got under way in Washington on Monday.
According to the Russian trade mission in the United States, a delegation of experts from various Russian agencies, including the Ministry for Economic Development and the Bank of Russia, has arrived in Washington for talks.
The OECD brings together 34 most developed world nations and is often unofficially referred to as a "rich countries’ club."
