Memory of victory in WWII is Russia`s `tremendous spiritual power` – Lavrov

According to tradition, the Foreign Minister laid wreaths at the memorial plaques near the Foreign Ministry building with the names of diplomats who died in the war or in the line of duty.

One and all without exception are deeply in debt to those who saved our Fatherland, Europe and the world at large from Nazism, Russia’s topmost diplomat said.

According to Lavrov, by celebrating the Great Holiday every year, we emphasize the impermissibility of any attempts to distort the truth about that war, or undo the feat of heroism of those who saved the world from the "Brown Plague”.
