Russia’s government has adopted as a basis a moderate-optimistic forecast of the social and economic development of this country for the 2014 to 2016 years.

This is what Deputy Minister of Economic Development Andrei Klepach told a press conference in Moscow on the results of Thursday’s session of the Russian Cabinet.
He mentioned that according to this scenario, Russia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is expected to grow by 3.7 per cent in 2014, by
4.1 per cent in 2015, and by 4.2 per cent in 2016. The rates of an increase in investments will also demonstrate moderate growth.
Klepach said that the recession in the Russian economy is unlikely.
